A better way to keep track of operations with PracticeHub
Background
The TMJ Clinic was founded in 2017 by a team of oral and maxillofacial specialists. The practice is a multidisciplinary clinic focused on helping Temporomandibular Joint Disorder patients by offering a holistic approach to treating jaw dysfunction. From dentistry to physiotherapy and psychology, they design and enact a comprehensive treatment plan to deliver the best possible results.
There are currently practices in Canberra and Sydney, with a further practice due to open in February 2021.
The problem to solve
The practice had further expansion plans and the practice owners were in the process of adding additional sites. The Practice Manager, Jenny, needed a tool to stay on top of operations and maintain oversight over staff working in various locations. Onboarding new staff and ensuring consistent knowledge of policies and procedures was one of her main concerns.
Looking at Solutions
Jenny came across PracticeHub at a conference. She thought, “This is just what I need.
What had Jenny concerned was “how to keep control as the practice was expanding rapidly”. The new recruits needed to be trained and the practices had to operate just as safely and efficiently as always.

The results
One of the main purposes of acquiring PracticeHub was to train our staff, she says. Mission accomplished! Jenny has also added additional relevant training modules into PracticeHub. Existing learning modules such as infection control and privacy and confidentially are supplemented with dental clinical modules. All training modules are in one place. Staff can get into PracticeHub at any time to do some extra training.
Jenny uses the registers to keep track of all equipment, contracts and insurances in different locations and has inserted reminders to keep track of due dates. She sees PracticeHub as a great reference tool for herself and says “The alerts and reminders are very good” to keep track of practice operations.
The owners of the practice appreciate that everything is central in one place and everyone can find up- to-date information easily.
