Moving from the 4th to 5th edition of the RACGP Standards made easy by PracticeHub
Central Clinic is a multi-site GP and specialist medical practice and was founded originally by Dr John Finch in Warragul, West Gippsland, Victoria. Today, the multi-disciplinary practice employs 57 healthcare professionals working across three sites, including GPs, various specialists and allied health staff. The practices include pathology on site and has a pharmacy located on premises. The practices have grown considerably since January 2019 and there are further plans to extend the services provided by adding a day surgery.
The problem to solve
When the current practice manager, Mario Gupta, took over in 2018, he was faced with the challenge to quickly prepare for accreditation to transition from level 4 to level 5 standard, as well as to rapidly digitise practice operations processes and procedures. All documentation was available in a physical form and printed out, which meant that new policies were not easily accessible to all staff. It was a daunting task to implement a set of policies and procedures across all sites in a very short period of time.
Looking at Solutions
Mario was searching for solutions while getting ready for accreditation and was referred to PracticeHub by Avant.
